Yamaha Corporation of America is looking for a Director of Marketing for their Keyboard division. The Director of Marketing will Develop and implement strategies which are responsible for the growth and high-level positioning of some of Yamaha’s most prestigious brands. Lead the team to create new marketing initiatives to bring best practices in marketing to the Keyboard division. Essential duties and responsibilities : Grow sales and market share through customer centric marketing and communications as well as brand exposure Lead the EKB team to achieve all marketing and financial objectives Develop high image marketing materials, web content, POP and programs Identify the customers for each product category and develop plans to reach in an effective way Create, implement and manage promotions and programs to drive sales and profits Working with the Social Media Manager and Customer Experience Group to reach customers for Yamaha piano products on the Internet, Social Media and PR and developing ways to increase exposure Work with the Planning Manager and Yamaha Corporation of Japan staff to implement product development plans to achieve goals and market share growth. Monitor the results of programs and promotions in order to refine and improve reach and sales. Work with the sales team to have them most effective distribution possible and to unite the Yamaha and dealer marketing message. Job Requirements : Strong customer-centric marketing background. Must understand the elements of personas, customer decision journey and customer acquisition and how to develop marketing strategies utilizing this information. Bachelor's degree required 10+ years in marketing. Experience in the music industry is not a requirement. 7+ years in managing staff Project management skills Ability to lead team in developing established practices in marketing This position travels up to 10% per year with one possible international trip to Japan.
