Job Description

The Amazon Digital Music team is looking for a motivated, customer-obsessed, analytical marketer to drive acquisition and growth for Amazon Music. Our team is focused on driving discovery and growth of a new way to consume Music – a personalized and curated music experience across millions of tracks across many languages to put your favorite music at your fingertips. We are looking for someone who is experienced in online marketing with a focus on paid channels, is highly analytical and detail-oriented, and will possess the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships. You will be a smart risk taker who can deliver big and unique ideas to drive new customer trials and engagement. Preference for this role is in Mumbai, can be Bangalore for the right candidate.

 Responsibilities will include planning and implementation of customer acquisition campaigns, testing and optimization of campaign performance for the paid campaigns, scaling cost effective campaigns and channels, testing of content and messaging, marketing budget management, and design and reporting of key performance indicators.

 Key responsibilities 

  • Ownership of highly visible customer acquisition programs and campaigns including responsibility for messaging, scheduling, testing, measuring and analyzing the performance and identifying new opportunities based on customer and business data.
  • Develop marketing plans for various channels (paid media across display ads, search and social media channels, Affiliates, Music partners, offline events) and identify and develop messaging, targeting, segmentation, and testing strategies to drive Amazon Music acquisition and growth
  • Building scale and efficiency from affiliates and offline channels, analyzing current performance, managing budget allocated for paid media and implementing initiatives for testing, optimization and improvement across devices and channels
  • Understand levers for improving customer acquisition and conversion, and engagement analyze current performance and success of those levers and implement initiatives for testing, optimization and improvement across devices and channels
  • Collaborate with several teams, including Amazon Traffic teams, Site Merchandising, Creative, Business Intelligence, Music Product, Marketing, and Amazon Prime teams in both the development and execution of our acquisition plans and initiatives
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing marketing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards etc. to drive key business decisions 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in online marketing, marketing communications, and/or consumer products and services
  • Proven track-record of managing and delivering online traffic growth from partner channels, affiliates, offline mass media to drive customer acquisition and adoption
  • Use of web and quantitative analytics including clickstream metrics to evaluate online customer behavior, expertise in A/B testing and optimizations to build scalable programs
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, ability to quickly learn Amazon tools and processes
  • Ability to deliver on multiple deadlines and prioritize compulsively as a self-directed individual, comfortable with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Think big and creatively with limited budget on concepting new programs to drive acquisition and growth and rethink how to better serve Music customers

Preferred Qualifications

  •  MBA
  • Familiarity with online acquisition and subscription business models
  • Understanding of the streaming Music industry, its trends, seasonality and global business trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments
  • Intuition for customer communication voice; adept at marketing copywriting
  • Thought leader with a solid understanding of the key business drivers and customer dynamics in the digital media, commerce, advertising, mobile, and high-tech industries
